Shuckey Darn! I'm gone for a week and look what happens!
You guys got a Kerry group started!

I wish I could've been around to help it get off the ground! Unfortunately, I had to take a forced vacation from DU while I was back at home for Thanksgiving break, for which my university magnanamously gives me a week off of school. However, my computer is here at my apartment, and the one at home has very iffy internet service, so I wasn't able to keep up with the DU goings-on.

So congratulations and kudos to everyone who helped get this group going and a big hearty hello to everyone here from me, one of DU's biggest Kerry supporters. When I saw John Kerry twice on the campaign trail, he told me he had my back, and I promised that I would always have his. And damned if I'm not going to live up to that promise. America's been amBUSHed again, and John Kerry is going to need us as much as we need him if anything is going to change in this country.

So again, thanks for getting this off the ground, and just in time for my birthday, too! Today I am no longer a teenager, thank God.

8. Hey Faye,
Isn't Kerry's birthday Dec. 11? You could have a combined party!

(I'm jealous. Believe it or not, I share mine with *)

This thread is making me feel old too, Vinessa - I'm about the same age as you. I voted for Dukakis, though. :P

2. Hi WildEyedLiberal
Welcome to non teenagehood and Happy Birthday!!!!

I wish I would have had a chance to meet John Kerry personally, but made a pledge to support him and my loyalty will not waiver. I believe him and I believe in him. I have voted in several Presidential elections in my lifetime, but I have never supported a President the way that I am prepared to support John Kerry.

3. Well I didn't actually meet him
I just went to two of his rallies. God, I would've given anything to meet him, though. I still would.

5. Were you old enough to vote?
If not, I'm sorry. My cousin in Lubbock TX (freeperville extreme :puke:) turned 17 this past summer and was so dismayed that she couldn't vote for Kerry. This was my first election and I traveled to three swing states to campaign for Kerry. If I could do it all again, I would've done far, far more. I think I'd like to work full time in 2008 - especially if the candidate is Kerry again.

6. I turned 17 this summer too
Thanks, I appreciate it. heh my only republican family lives in Houston and ironically enough, my mom's cousin became a judge before he died. I went to a swing state, Pennsylvania. I wish I could have done more, but if Kerry runs again, he has my support. He's a great guy.

7. I'm not sure if I feel old or young
Oh my gosh, to have teen at the end of my age again....

My first presidental election was Dukakis and Bush in 1988-I was 20. I was also a "me generation" Reagan kid. You young people rock for being so with it at your ages!!!!! I salute you. And as a returning college student I feel so lucky to be surrounded by so many great younger people. You are a fabulous group of involved citizens!

Happy Birthday and nice to meet you WildEyedLiberal!!:hi:
