3. Why do they love Gore, yet hate Kerry?
IWR, right? Gore didn't have to vote for that....nor Dean...nor Clark...20/20 hindsight.
I mean I love Gore, but he is so similiar to Kerry.

4. Gore isnt similiar to Kerry
Hes to Kerry's right in many ways. Yes its because of how Gore has acted since 2K but to be honest, Kerry I Think has done more since "losing"

6. eh socially
Kerry's always been pro GLBT rights, gun control, choice and etc, and Gore was more hawkish than Kerry when they served together and he was and I think still is an advocate of free trade, Kerry favors free trade too but hes not as strong a supporter.

8. He intially sucked is my point
He wasnt cosponsoring them with Kerry when Kerry was just a rookie senator. Ive done the research on this actually, Kerry in his first term office introduced a bill to ban discrimination based on sexuality, I forget who sponosored with him but the bill did not get to the floor.

10. Yes, Kerry did that just when he became senator!
He supported gay rights from the beginning... Why? Because "many of my friends are gay...I served with gays in Vietnam..." (Blade Interview):toast:

Gore became good later on it.

That was a great interview. A lesbian who just got married in MA interviewed JK and it did not disappoint...

15. it proves how really bad I am at gaydar
Ive been to DC too many times and I didnt know that DuPont Circle was a gay area. You hear about the DC's Mayor's Aide who was killed, seems she was gay and a gay rights advocate.

19. Yeah, don't hear about it in no straight papers, either!
I get the Baltimore Sun which is pretty much the straight news, although not a bad rag.
BTW: Ehrlich tried to blacklist two Sun reporters for their critism of his administration. Arrgh! Didn't work and just showed what an ass Ehrly is...

27. Here it is!
http://www.washblade.com/2004/9-24/news/national/kerry.cfm
"And you pick a starting point, and my starting point is to try to pass ENDA and try to pass hate crimes . And you begin to educate people, and hopefully you change the climate and tone ? it?s been very exploitive in the last year or so. And you lead."

"Gay people run for members of Congress. Gay people served beside me in Vietnam."

Always wonderful to hear politicians talk about gay people as human beings...

You cannot reason w/ the unreasonable. And sometimes it seems like they're just trying to get a rise out of us pro-Kerry people.

25. True.
Why don't people here want Kerry to run again? He hasn't bothered anyone. I know their candidates have a right to run, but why do they think their man can do so much better than what Kerry could do?

26. Bitterness, is all I can figure
They're bitter about the election - they'd like to take it out on Kerry (unreasonable reaction), he's not around so they take it out on us (incredibly unreasonable reaction!)
