Kennedy offers a tidbit on "This Week"
Edited on Sun Mar-06-05 07:05 PM by ginnyinWI
Anybody else see it? At the end of the interview, Steph. asks him if he likes H. Clinton for 2008. He smiles and says,(I'm paraphrasing)"Well I'm from Massachusetts, and we already have a candidate we like--and that's John Kerry". He's going for it, for sure! :) :)

2. There's no doubt in my mind . . .
As of right now, I believe that JK is planning to run again in '08. That doesn't mean that he necessarily will, because things may change between now and then, but I think he's just going to go ahead as if he were going to do it.

7. I saw that this morning and it warmed my heart
because Teddy K was speaking truth about the SSI situation and because he is loyal to his MA Senate colleague. I have huge warm and fuzzy feelings for Teddy because of his incredible passion in arguing against the Bankruptcy Bill in the Senate last week. He was amazing in floor managing that bill. (Is there anyone in the Senate who has fought harder for working people in America than Teddy Kennedy? Is there anyone who has taken more grief from Cons for it?) :loveya: :loveya::loveya:

My esteemed Senior Senator (very esteemed this week :loveya:) remarked that he is open to bipartisanship on SSI. Just as long as * takes private accounts out of the talks and decides to come in with proposals that strengthen SSI, not proposals that weaken it. Go Teddy! :loveya: I know that Kerry supports this as well, so I am very happy. I have to remember to send them both some positive e-mails telling them how pleased I am with their support for ordinary, non-rich Americans. :loveya:

HUGE News: Kerry Confirmed For 08'
Dear JKFA Forum Members,

Good news from this morning's edition of ABC's "This Week". The guest on the show is none other then John Kerry's close friend and mentor Senator Ted Kennedy (D-MA), who has literally known Kerry for decades and both work with each other on a day to day basis. Ted was posed with a VERY interesting question by the host. Would he support Hillary in 2008?

"Well, we have a candidate up in Massachusetts. I think Hillary would be outstanding at whatever she decides she wants to do." The host said, "So, Kerry is your man?" And Ted said, "Yes, Kerry is my man."

Now what does this mean? It means that Ted Kennedy is saying he's supporting his CLOSE friend John Kerry in 2008. If anyone would know if John's planning on running again it's Ted. Ted pretty much confirmed what we at JKFA have been waiting for. John Kerry is running for President in 2008. Take Ted's word for it, let's get done to business. Right now is the time to start. We have so much that needs to be done at JKFA. Right now, we are hiring moderators for the JKFA Forum, the moderators will be the only ones allowed to view and talk in a exclusive War Room forum. Also we need editorials about Senator Kerry, and people to push our Kerry petition which is now up to almost 450 signatures.

Kerry is running in 2008, and let's get done to business. John Kerry still has our back, don't you think it's time you started watching his back? Join the movement!

- Jordon Wright

9. Only one small problem, what about the South?
Edited on Sun Mar-06-05 10:44 PM by politicasista
I live in as angrydemocrat would say the "shitty red state of TN." Was there a strategy for the Kerry campaign to win the South or just battleground states like Ohio, Florida, etc.? I think this was one of the campaign's biggest mistakes of writing off the one part of the country. Some people down here think Kerry didn't have much of a chance because he was a "Massachusetts liberal." I guess that's why so many in DU are pushing for a southerner in 08. If Kerry does run in 08, what is his strategy, or is that Dean's strategy for winning the South? It feels like politicians in the red states are on a different page than those in the blue states.

P.S. The more they bash Kerry, the more I appreciate him. Especially after saving that teacher from deportation.

10. I think Dean has a plan for the South and Southwest
and that is to "show up". Campaign in all 50 states next time! They know they can raise the money, now, and that they only need a good strategy.
That, plus election reform would make a big difference next time. Just think if they had only been able to count all of those votes that were lost or stolen this time.

11. Good strategy
I guess I get tired of all the flack that Kerry gets for "losing" to Smirky.

12. Sons of Liberty
If I were running that campaign, I'd have figured out a way to have every state in New England running Revolution type travel campaigns, had the movie industry running revolution movies, played reruns of Newhart, anything that was homey and patriotic out of the northeast. Fishermen, dairy farmers, tough Boston types, anything like that.

After doing some of that image changing, JK could go right into the belly of the beast with integrity, honor, duty. And stand up for the lessons learned in Vietnam and reasons he protested that war and apply it to today.

And have ALL southern Democratic politicians support him instead of run away from him.
