Audio of JK interview on WCAP today!
Edited on Sat Jan-30-10 12:01 AM by Noisy Democrat
Thanks to Luftmensch's tireless efforts on the phone and the generosity of the folks at radio station WCAP, JK Media Source has audio of the interview JK did with Mary Jo Griffin on WCAP this morning. It's an interesting interview and JK sounds great. We hadn't managed to record it when it aired live, and the radio station was initially reluctant to let us have a copy of the audio -- they said they almost never do this sort of thing -- but Luftmensch was undaunted and explained more about the purpose of our site; finally they agreed to send it if we would give credit. So we're grateful to the nice WCAP people who made it possible for us to enjoy hearing this interview. The recording is 14 minutes long and is on the front page under Short Clips. Or you can go straight to it at this link:

1. Thank you for your efforts to bring this to us. It was a very, very good interview.
I just don't understand how some people can claim he doesn't understand the problems of the middle class in Massachusetts and this nation. As an example, he seems better at articulating the benefits of the health care bill than anyone I have heard from the administration-or even my state.

6. I just listened to it now.
JK said a lot of great things that needed to be said, about preparing ourselves for a renewable-energy economy. He also had good things to say about Haiti.

I could hear Mary Jo's Boston accent! At the beginning, she almost said "Senitah" before correcting it to "senior Senator". ;)

Great interview. I especially liked JK's take on healthcare. I am glad that he--both as a Senator and as a leading presence in the Democratic caucus and party--remains optimistic about the chances of passing healthcare. I know it'll still be a climb, but it's reassuring to hear his take on it. I also like how he pointed out that for all the criticisms--on either side of the aisle about it--there's still a lot of good and potential in the bill and how just because there's currently a near universal system in MA, doesn't mean that the rest of the country still doesn't need better health care...or that MA couldn't still benefit from it. That point got lost in a lot of the discussion/analysis about the Special Election, I think. I also loved how he held firm at the end about not confusing what the SE meant and remaining optimistic about the administration, while still giving some really good (I think) constructive criticism on it's handling of the health care debate in the last year (like how it was communicated, for example, which is a hard truth to hear, but a truth I suppose all the same). I always really enjoy hearing the Senator's thoughts. He continues to show strong leadership and to be the REAL Senator in that state. ;) :)

And JKmediasource ROCKS! :headbang:
