Time to take the advice that
TayTay (:hi:) once gave about going out and finding a non-political, pro-issue, blogs and do some other things for a while.

I am beginning to think that presidential elections may not be my cup of tea. The last week or so and today, I have spent time out "there" defending the good senator from posts that have to dissed him and promote Obama, even being questioned on whether or not I did "squat" for Kerry in 04, and replying at today’s Kos diary that said Kerry "too gentlemanly" to be Obama’s leading surrogate.

Anyway, I know politics is dirty like that, but I think it's a turnoff. (I am sorry).

Yes, I know I have been the hand wringer, (negative) Debbie Downer in this group, and I know I have been wrong about a lot of Kerry related things of late, but when you keep repeating and countering so much over and over that it falls on deaf ears or the sound of crickets, there isn't anymore to do (or is there?)

I like reading the about real world support because I don't hear that kind of talk very often, at least from where I am. Maybe I am hanging out at the wrong place or wrong people. It seems like it's much more positive for Gore than it is Kerry (at least not yet).

I will still support the good senator and Obama, but I am thinking of just sitting back and letting them work. In other words, just seeing and watching how this all plays out. Lurk mode might be the best option, just until the dust settles on the silly season.

If it sounds like I have been negative or harsh on the good senator, apologies.

P.S. The MTP interview was good. :)

1. Word of advise, focus on the positive and ignore the negative.
The positive is worth 100 time more than the negative. Someone is always not going to be happy because things are not done the way they think they should be. Honestly, IMO, if any politician took the advise of some of these in your face idiots we would lose elections in landslides. They forget that not everyone is with them on everything.

2. Thanks for the advice
Been trying to experiment with that. It's like kicking the habit (and I have never been a smoker or drinker. LOL!). I agree that you can't and won't please everyone. (Kerry and Obama knew that when they decided to run for public offices). In a way I am glad that the in your face crowd isn't the real world. If so, some ultra lefty would be the nominee (hypothetically guessing). If Kerry or Obama took their advice, they would lose elections and look like sore loser clowns.
