This legislation will include $250,000 on top of their present life insurance policies for all service members who die in the line of duty"

1. That is good to know for when Congress passes this and Bush tries to

take credit.

BushCo and the Pentagon didn't want to do it but both sides of Congress and both parties want it, so as usual they are going to jump on the bandwagon and act like it is their idea.

If the left gets in a twirl over this for some reason, they'll beat it into the ground so Democrats can't take credit for it either. That's what happened with the rest of that stuff. You can't very well say the 9/11 Commission is a scam and take credit for it at the same time. Or call to repeal all the tax cuts and remind people that the 10% bracket and child tax credit were due to Democrats. *sigh* Of course, it's equally hard to go after the torture, etc., with Dems like Joementum too.
