Hard night on GD
Edited on Sun Oct-15-06 08:44 PM by Mass
Want to talk about tinfoil, this one is certainly the best tonight among a series of great stories:

Best answer yet.

. Yup, I think Diebold hypnotized the Iowa caucus by swinging corn cobs

in front of their eyes.

I need a drink now.

2. Totally ridiculous
Kerry has hit another nerve. Just another schemey way to bash Kerry.

The naysayers are out with their same humdrum rhetoric.

This has happened everytime Kerry acts like the leader he is. First they scream because he wouldn't use the word lie, which by the way he has used often throughout the year, and then when they are forced to see what he has said, their lame excuse is , 2 years to late. Give me a break.

They all need to take a look at why their candidates lost, you never hear a word about what they did wrong in those campaigns, oh no, they just blame Kerry and the media. What, the media? Oh my but the media had nothing to do with the election of '04. Hypocrites plain and simple.

In reality they have never gotten over the losses in the Dem primary, and many of them never gave 100% to the Kerry campaign in '04. Do they realize that because of their unwillingness to fully embrace the Democratic candidate running for President, that they hampered his chances even more.

Their namecalling and rhetoric with no facts to fall back on will never get them a win in anything. They need to take their blinders off.

3. i was here during the 2004 primary campaign
anytime someone posted a poll or event or anything else that showed Kerry doing well it would generate a bunch of stupid responses such as skull and bones, Kerry sucks, and whatever else.

as you say, instead of acknowledging it and doing something to helpt heir candidate they would just bash the post or poster for posting it.

part of it was because the larger media was still claiming KErry had no chance and they took that as truth. but polls and actual reporting of events going on in Iowa and NH would be dismissed.

8. I admire your, BLM and anyone else who stayed from then
A month or so ago, someone posted the GD threads from 3 years before. I was shocked. You guys were amazing. DU itself is so much smarter now and more grownup - something I would never have thought possible seeing those threads.

4. I liked your answer
These guys are nuts and there is really no talking to them. (if Dean could have been brought down by a strange scream (after he came in 3rd) how would he have dealt with the level of slime Kerry was given?

5. Hard morning too
But that thread is locked now, at least. I'm off to coloradopols to watch the slow-mo train wreck that is the Colorado Republican Party in 2006. See you later!

7. Well, he and Teresa are as poor as church mice.
I think he wanted the Presidency more than all the money in the world. He could have held BCCI up for huge sums of money when he had trouble making ends meet.

10. Troll
Several in that thread are trolls.

I'm going to stay out of that one, I'd just end up getting my posts deleted and raising my blood pressure.
