Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith.
Anybody got any dirt or early buzz on it? It comes out next May, and I hear Darth Vader will only be in it for 5 minutes at the end. There's also a new villain called General Grievous...sounds kind of ridiculous. Lucas must have a thesaurus handy, and "evil" dog-eared to name all his baddies.

1. lucas has been phoning it in
for years. i'll see the new one, but only out of morbid curiosity. And I'll be interested in seeing how well they connect III with IV

13. i agree, although...
I've read some of the recent (1990s-present) comics set in the clone wars era, and they have really good stories.

which makes the movies even more frustrating.

4. Yeah, and you can hear TIE fighters in the trailer!
Even though I thought Eps I and II were sub-par (still saw them in the theater, though) I'm gettin' that pre-release thrill again.

5. Star Wars is dead to me!
DEAD TO ME! After the debacle of Crapisode 1, Lucas has not gotten a single dime out of me. I even refused to buy Rogue Squadron III & Knights of the Old Republic new, I got them off eBay. Lucas needs to crawl into a hole, count his money, and leave Star Wars alone.

They need to get the Wachowski brothers to make a movie out of Knights of the Old Republic, I swear that game was 1000 times better than the last three movies put together. Then again I've seen better films around my bathtub than the last three Star Wars movies.

6. You need to watch the teaser trailer
They're showing it for free at www.starwars.com

General Grievous is the new villain in Episode III. He is the military commander of all Separatist forces (Count Dooku is the political leader). Grievous is a half alien half robot creature that uses lightsabers that he takes from his vanquished Jedi foes.

You just need to see the trailer...its pretty spectacular. I'm pretty satisfied with the way Vader turned out. Thank God he looks like the Dark Lord from the Original Trilogy. The Tantive IV looks good, looks exactly like it does from the A New Hope.

7. What's the Tantive IV?
I don't remember it. Is that a ship? Do they have Alderaan in this film? I'm at work and can't watch the trailer until tonight. Thanks. :hi:

9. The very first ship you see
in Episode IV....the one R2, 3PO, and Leia are on that gets captured.

10. Goldeneye and Star Trek First Contact had awesome teasers...
pity both of those movies were utter shite.

I might see Ep III, but eps I and II were gross disappointments (and I'm being polite. :-) )

8. Why I have a problem with prequels
Best said by Stephen R Donaldson:

"I don't want to go back to a previous point and figure out what they learned to get to the starting point in the first place. I already talked about that: I didn't do it in detail but I did already tell you the story. Why am I going to do it again? Was I lying last time? Was the truth something else? Or, am I coasting now and just doing it because it's easy? That's not going to happen."

11. I would love to see the movie despite disliking the Eps I & II
I just hope that when I see Ep III that I don't feel like I've taken in by the hype. If it's half-as-good as A New Hope or Empire Strikes Back then I'll be satisified.

12. General Grievous was a character from Tartakovsky's shorts...
on the Cartoon Network. Which is the best Star Wars stuff to come around since Empire Srikes Back.
