Atheists are so mean.
Wanting to give credit to scientists engineers and other mining professionals who have worked their butts off to save those miners in Chile. We all know that it was the big guy in the sky responisble and to say anything else is to be insensitive to others. Good grief. Its amazing how many people think ANY criticism of religion is horrible...:banghead:
Oh and I learned that atheists aren't at all hated in the US. Thats just my imagination apparantly.:eyes:

2. Funny isn't it
how so many complain about how assholish atheists are and they end up behaving just as badly as the people they claim are being jerks...If only they could step back and see how ludicrous they appear...

and when they do, they've invented a devil to do all the bad stuff.

4. Evidently, rational thought is an affront to those with
religious leanings. If you're talking about the OP by Malaise, I was attacked on there for pointing out the shortcomings of Massey Energy's CEO. It's kind of funny if incoherent anger makes you laugh.

7. yes
I thought that OP was well written and actually pretty logical. But apparantly to some it was a "panties in a wad" offensive screed agaisnt those suffering. Oy.

8. And divisive.
I love that one. Stop dividing the party with your petty concerns.

Closely tied to "stop giving the republicans (or O'Reily, or Hannity, or whomever) something to talk about.

9. So did I. The OP made sense to me.
It wasn't until she accused me of being a 'Christian hater' (or words to that effect) that I figured out what all the hysteria was all about. FTR, I didn't say anything at all about Christians, belief, or anything that should have set her off. She also accused me of hating all Americans and of thinking that Chile is a superior country.... Such vitriol to my comparing Massey Energy's response to the mining disaster in PA to the well-handled emergency in Chile.

11. When I said that said person find some study to refute the
U of Minn study on atheists or show how their methodology was flawed, I was told to "burn a cross" if I hate them so much and that my anti-Christian bigotry was horrible. Talk about crazy.

15. The KKK's burning cross symbolizes...
"Bringing the light of Christ to the world."

At least that's what I heard when I was growing up in Klan Kountry.

17. originally, at least historically in Scotland
it was a warning/alarm signal, carried around by runners to signal a threat, and ordering a gathering of warriors to protect the clan. Or at least that's what I have read. But I've also heard the KKK's explanation, so theirs may be a contemporary twisting of it to meet their ideologies.

19. That is where the KKK took it from.
It was the cross of St. Andrew, though, which is upside down. Dumbass got it wrong in Birth of a Nation and it has been depicted as the upright cross since.

And it just came out of the blue. I'm not saying I can't be an ass at times, but that was not one of them. I'm still chuckling about it now as I think about it.

28. One of my threads in GD just got locked.
Apparently, we're not allowed to post snarky things in GD about fully-grown adults that still have an imaginary friend and use the relationship with said imaginary friend to justify atrocities against GLBT people, among other things...

31. It's "insensitive" because it doesn't defer to the delicate sensibilities of religionists.
Having a personal relationship with the omnipotent creator of the universe must make your skin practically transparent.
