1. Oh it's real.
Just pick a public school in the buy-bull belt and visit their science classes. You can't make this shit up.

And yes, that kid did in fact make the argument that black people couldn't have evolved from white people because "we're different skin." He wasn't the first to demonstrate this incredible misunderstanding of the evolutionary process or of basic human biology. That teacher, and every teacher who agrees with him, is doing a massive disservice to his (their) students.
