Minot airmen, B-52s set to leave for Guam

MINOT, N.D. — About 300 airmen from Minot Air Force Base and several B-52 bombers will begin leaving this week for a five-month deployment to Andersen Air Base in Guam.

Minot base spokeswoman Maj. Elizabeth Ortiz says the base also has about 300 personnel in Iraq, Afghanistan, Kuwait and Kyrgyzstan.

She says the deployment to Guam is a regular deployment for the Minot base.

2. I bet everyone was cheering when they got the news.
Because Minot has got to be boring. Usually, the units with the smaller aircraft have the best deployments.
