Confronting rank stupidity about Africa on DU
You folks might want to take a look at this. People were arguing over starvation in Africa and I got carried away and wrote a two part response. What ya'll think?

2. Wow. How the hell did you get so knowledgable?
I thought I was vaguly familiar with the concept of food shortage around the workd in "developing nations" (I really hate that term.) You make me look like an idiot... but still smarter than *.:P

Thanks a lot Kerrytravelers. Sorry to take a while to get back to you -- I was away from DU for a few.

I have worked in the developing country field off and on for about 20 years, including work in South Africa and China, so it's literature I am familiar with.

That post was so full of shit, I kind of went overboard though.
