Assassin's Creed
Wow. If ever a game was made for me, this is it. Sci-fi meets history, sneaking and combat, awesome graphics and story line.

I haven't even gotten that far into it and I am deeply hooked.

I just got into Damascus, and the first time you see the city after coming over the rise - one of the greatest moments I've had gaming.

Any one else playing?

3. Then this review isn't for you:

Warning: Foul language ahead. But funny as hell, so that's why I posted it.

Review notwithstanding, I must admit the game looks magnificent, and I'll probably be playing it within the week.

4. oh no, that was spot on
And he didn't even touch on how the beggars and passing maniacs can pick you out of a crowd but you can just "blend" right by guards.

I have to admit here one of the reasons I love the game is that I am an archaeologist and history buff, too.

5. Ahh. I saw this game in action at a friend's house.
And I have to agree with what he said: Ubisoft needs to use this game engine for all their games.
It allows for HUGE environments, fluid character movements, and great effects.

Maybe they can sell it to Eidos for Deus Ex 3 (even though Eidos is going to use the Crystal Dynamics Engine as seen in Tomb Raider: Anniversary)

7. Everything is better with "Wacky Sax"
A personal theory of mine. That review just bolsters it.

6. Heads up-apparently there is a glitch with the flags.
sometimes, flags are reported to disappear from a section of a city. I don't think there is a fix other than to start a new game.

This has happened to me - I have all but one flag from the poor part of Acre, and I resorted to online maps to try and find the last one, and it's just not there.

I was going to play it again anyhow, but it's still a little frustrating to know that can happen. The best advice I read was to make sure you get all the flags the first time you enter a new section of a city.
