X-Men Legends
Anyone else playing this? I'm playing it on the PS2, and loving it.

So far, my favourite team is Storm, Cyclops, Wolverine, and either Magma, Jean Gray, or Nightcrawler, depending on the mission.

Storm is quite simply the most powerful character in the game, and Cyclops' leadership bonus is too good to ignore. I'll likely drop him once I get everyone topped off, though.

1. I have it
It's pretty good. Kind of a button mashing fest but entertaining none the less.

The best party is always Cyclops, Storm and any other two characters. The leadership bonuses you get by having both Storm and Cyclops are HUGE.

I recently made it to the timed mission on board the Aircraft Carrier (I think) and stupidly got caught with only one save game that I simply didn't have enough time to complete the level with.

So I need to start a whole new game.

2. Yeah, the Arbiter
is pretty brutal.

I like Wolvy, of course, but I'll replace him with another tank for fun sometimes.

I'm also starting to get into Gambit in that 4th slot. His kinetic boost, when maxed, is just insane. Give a damage and speed bonus to all teammates for a while.

I maxed Wolvy's rage. And Cyclops' Tactics. You hit all three of them, and Wolverine just goes through masses of enemy troops like a thresher.

I'm on the third time through the Astral Plane. The part at the end is great. If you don't destroy the crystal, you can just whack astral critters for hours. I've probably gone up 10 levels across the board, been on this one section for two days.

I've also taken to playing with Emma Frost in Protect missions. She can put the Fear or Confusion on enemies, keeping them away from your civilians (or whatever you're protecting).

Beast is just lame. Magma rocks if you build her right, a real tank in her own right.

3. I played the Xbox version
and loved it.

I mixed up a lot of the characters, but probably used Iceman, Wolverine, Jean Grey and Storm the most.

4. Iceman is cool
I just finished it, and I'm running through it again. I'm building Iceman as a fighter this time; that armour is just incredible.

I still can't get the hang of Jean Grey, though.

Real fun, for tons of bonus XP: Storm does a whirlwind, throws dudes in the air, then switch to Cyclops and shoot them. Combo! Combo! Combo! :D

5. Pretty damn good
I pretty much stick with Wolverine in every team because....it's fucking Wolverine, dude.

My only complaint so far would be Stupid NPC Syndrome, where the teammates I'm not controlling enjoy walking off cliffs, getting stuck in doors, etc.

Has anyone tried the Danger Room from the title menu, where you can fight as anyone vs. anyone? My god, some of these bad guys are weak as hell. I'm wondering how I did any less than slice through them like a blowtorch through ice cream.

6. Haven't tried that yet

I've noticed that Cyclops, of course, is the worst of the Stupid NPCs. Every time we get stuck in a doorway, it's always "Slim" who's blocking the way.

I agree, gotta have Wolvie in every team.

X2 is coming out soon. I'm hoping we get some other cool mutants, like Havok as a playable character.

Also, I'm having fun playing with the skins now. I've got everyone back in their yellow spandex.

7. Cyclops, Storm, Iceman, and ________
Usually the 4th is Jean, Wolverine, Rogue, or Gambit.

Iceman is incredible. Especially with Storm.

Deep Freeze, then chain lightning.
