Be nice to me. I run CNN.
CNN anchor Rick Sanchez reeeeeally doesn't like Jon Stewart.

On Peter Dominick's radio show yesterday, Sanchez said he thinks that "Jon Stewart is a bigot" against "anybody who doesn't agree with his point of view, which is very much a white liberal establishment point of view."

Dominick, a former warm-up comic on The Daily Show, asked Sanchez to elaborate, and he said: "I think he looks at the world through, his mom, who was a school teacher, and his dad, who was a physicist or something like that. Great, I'm so happy that he grew up in a suburban middle class New Jersey home with everything that you could ever imagine."

LOLOLOL. My uncle taught this guy at Georgetown. Has told me several times that he's an idiot! I wonder if he pulled the you just hate me cause I'm not Jewish when he got bad test scores...

But seriously, its kinda scary to see a main stream figure with Nazi like beliefs.

1. "A physicist or something like that..."
Maybe he was really a psychic.

Along with "Nazi-like beliefs," I wonder if Sanchez is that sloppy and imprecise in his reporting.

Oh, that's right, he's an "anchor," which our British cousins rightly call "presenter" or "news-reader." So he probably doesn't have to do much real reporting.

I'm just grumpy today. And looking for an excuse to bash somebody. Maybe I'll wander over to R/T later...

2. Suuuuuuuuuuure you do!
Actually, I am Spartacus! Oh wait...I mean, I run CNN!

It is interesting (and a good thing) so many are seeing this for the anti-Semitic filth it is; unlike, when virtually the same thing was said months ago by Oliver Stone and was ferociously defended, even by supposed "Jewish" posters, as being factual.

4. Oh the anti- Semites are out
Sanchez was fired today. Apparantly the swiftness of action proves that Jews do control the media. Someone said he just made a comment and that Hispanics are treated much worse blah blah. And then someone else said that he was fired for "dissing the Jews"! Yeah, making naziesque racist comments is the same as dissing someone. Oy.

5. Oh, you! You're just being oversensitive.
Don't you know only "trolls" and "rightwing plants" make anti-Semitic comments. No true Scotsman Democrat/liberal/progressive would make such comments and if they do then we are just looking for trouble and we don't really understand the true nature of anti-Semitism. Besides, if a Jew says it or someone who once had lunch with the nephew of a hairdresser whos gay partner's mother's baker is a Jew, then the comment isn't anti-Semitic.

3. Yech, what an asshole
He's toast. Good riddance.

"This is Hawaii."

He doesn't understand meters unless they're "in English."

Doesn't seem to like scientists much, either.

6. Your uncle seems to be a perceptive man.
BTW, I came across someone on GD once, who was so convinced that the joooos run the media that he insisted that Rupert Murdoch is Jewish!

This was kinda inevitable I suppose. Whenever a high level bigot gets attention the other crazies seem to come out of the woodwork...

12. Hmph
There was a post on I/P (now deleted) on 'what the hell is it about Judaism that has made this group unwelcome everywhere for 6000 years?'

While no board, even a liberal one, is ever going to be totally free from antisemitism, racism, general religious bigotry, xenophobia, etc., I think that the CT 'info' sites used by some members definitely contribute to some of the weirder posts. Antisemitism is a near-universal on such sites - as is a hatred for vaccines! (Watch out for us joooooos, we'll vaccinate you all!)

13. that's part of the problem
fringe attracts fringe. Once you're floating in the cloud of nonsense outside of logical thought, it's easy to drift over to other whackaloon theories.
