It's so wet in New Hampshire
a slug was trying to get into my house today to get dry. I swear. I went out the back door and he was working his way up the steps to the door. We need sunshine for a few days to bring the tomatoes, peppers and eggplants back to life!

1. You would think that eggplants, cucs and squash would do well
with all this moisture but they are not going anywhere in my garden. My potato plants look good, though. More storms in SW NH this afternoon...

2. The paper we buy - the Brattleboro VT Reformer - had an article
yesterday about a commercial grower who has lost all 600 tomato plants. It's nuts - I've never seen anything like it. I did fish a couple of mud-covered cucumbers out of the garden this morning, but the one thing you'd think would love rain - sugar baby watermelons - are turning yellow and drying up. And, as you said, here comes the rain again. I sure hope this pattern doesn't continue into the next winter!
