Why I love ASAH.
I realized today that the reason so many of us find such happiness here is because this is how a peaceful world should & could be!

We often refer to ASAH as our "refuge". It's because of the pleasantness we maintain here. Not that we don't sometimes get down or discuss sickening & sad topics, but that we do it with respect towards one another. RESPECT. We have an abundance of it here at ASAH, I believe THAT is what makes this a place of refuge in an otherwise hostile world.

The maturity level is way beyond other places, too. Not to sound arrogant, but I suspect we have "evolved" beyond some others who are always trying to "pick fights" or denigrate others. I like being with the adults.

I think the new Visionary threads will create an even closer bond than we already feel here, elevating this place to an even more heavenly status.

Thanks to all of you for creating this very special place! I envision our little spot of peace here taking root & spreading outward. May peace prevail here & beyond. :grouphug:

1. Respect. Indeed.....
That is the underlying force for me in how I choose to be in this world...always has been. Choosing to respect oneself and others is paramount and why, like you, Southerncrone, I treasure ASAH and all who gather here, even if only in Spirit.

I'm in the midst of trying to finish a project with a deadline, so I send welcoming hugs to those who are new, or considering whether or not to dive in; comforting hugs to those experiencing challenges and crises; congratulatory hugs for joyous events and breakthroughs; and simple, heartfelt hugs of "I'm thinking of you and glad you're here" to everyone.

Wishing you all a blessed Sunday.

3. I agree
There is so much division even among people who politically think more alike than differently. So much anger, like there are people just looking for a fight everywhere. People that don't seem to really care much about other people. I am very tired of that. I felt that rage effecting me. I am finally learning that if someone comes in at a comment I make on the general discussion board just looking for a fight, I am much better off not responding. I firmly believe in challenging one another to think and consider various points of view. The feeling I get here is that most people have done personal introspection and know the difference between and challenge and the expression of nothing but rage. I am not perfect in this regard but am learning, gradually. There are so many people who will never look at themselves and try to see what is pulling their strings and they are so angry and won't let themselves discover why.

5. Thank you for posting this, SC
You're absolutely right--the kindness and compassion showed here knows no bounds. I don't know what I'd do without the ASAH group. I know I've said this before, but y'all were here for me when I left my coven, and you have more than filled the gap. You were there when I needed a shoulder to cry on, a sounding board to bounce ideas off of, and a giggle group. I love the new ideas proposed here, as well as the links to interesting topics that I may have missed out in the wilds of the intertubes. And the friendship OF COURSE.
