read your post today about abuse and i just wanted to jump up and give you a big hug. What you said there was very important because any of us can unwittingly end up with an abuser. Now I am so happy to see such other wise responses there.

I didn't respond in the OP because, as you may know, I have to hide from an abuser, who is a member here. So, a big K&R, and thanks, and appreciation.

In reply to this OP though, I had that how did Monday suddenly become Friday thing going on, too. But I'm old, and used to it. So, I sit at my computer and go here and there. Then I tackle a project. Then I come back to the computer. And time comes and goes.

Today was the first time I read this thread so I learned other people also experienced a great wind on that day. So, MG, I hope your roof held. Mine did, but I was concerned. OTOH, it did seem to blow away some cobwebs so I thank you for helping me see that. And I hope everyone in your family is feeling better now.

And to latebloomer, I moved myself to a life where I wash my clothes by hand, use wood to heat and cook mostly everything from scratch, and I love it. It is hard work but i much prefer it to the cubicle life.

I appreciate your reply to the abuse thing... it's funny, I try not to go there very often or talk about it much, but then something will come along and I have to give my 2 cents worth. (that was exactly the thing that used to get me in trouble with my ex too!)

As for your situation, life making bread and living off the land sounds dreamy (...and I am sorry that you also had to deal with the abuser crap. It sucks having to keep a low profile and stay out of sight!)Right now my ex is in prison for the next 5 years or so - so I am feeling a bit safer. But I don;t ever want to tke it for granted either :)

ya, time IS flying by and yet it seems that the tough stuff drags on forever because the lessons are SO dense and draggy...

Oh, thanks for asking--the house is still in one piece, no gaping holes, thanks! But I was concerned as well. Glad yours held together too.

Still working on the health issues, however. Jr. went from virus to strep and now it seems the virus is back (nothing deadly--cough, fever of 99). Calling the pediatrician later today to find out for sure. One cool thing is Celebration posted some threads in the health forum about vitamin D deficiency, just as I was diagnosed with a pretty low level of D. Might be hereditary, and might make people more susceptible to illness, so I'm having Jr. tested for that (and other possibilities) as soon as he recovers from his latest ick. Cobwebs blown away indeed.

Hope you are hanging in there and maybe you have some nice spring weather that blew in on the tailcoats of the latest gale! :hi: :hug:
