A dear friend of mine and I have been working on a lifelong dream for the last year, and finding web professional help has been like pulling teeth (not surprisingly, my friend has been having nonstop dental issues throughout this time as well ;) ).
I've noticed an interesting phenomenon over the last few years regarding these brilliant web developer/graphic designer types: they disappear so quickly! And communication is a huge challenge. Others seem to have experienced similar things...very frustrating.
If one has a ton of money, I'm sure the experience is different, and I don't blame them for focusing on the higher-income projects.
Still.....
We have reached a huge standstill, and I'm asking if anyone has any reliable web developer and/or graphics people who may want to help, if they resonate with the mission.
I put up a quick blog just to anchor the space until the website is done. The website itself will involve a craigslist-type of feature where people can post their needs (everything from critical, urgent needs to heartfelt dreams), as well as what they can offer. The coding for this has been the most intense, and the rest of the site (forum, social networking aspects, etc.) has been left hanging.
I have been anxious to launch the site and connect with the Obama network; in essence, Wishadoo is a grassroots community organizing portal -- online and offline -- though the community extends beyond physical boundaries. Maybe I can find someone within the Obama network, now that the campaign stage is over, to help, since the visions are symbiotic.
I invite you to visit www.wishadoo.blogspot.com where I attempt to briefly explain Wishadoo; I shall be working on a short video to explain our vision as well.
If you have any recommendations regarding technical people who may help us, please, please have them contact me. Thank you!!!
