Anyone care to give an impression?
I've been dealing with increased anxiety and panic attacks lately, for the first time in several years. I've been round and round my own head trying to figure out a "reason" for it, and darned if I can find one - in fact, things are going pretty swimmingly.

But of course the panicky part of my brain says "boy, are YOU stupid. There must be something going on that you're in denial about."

So I'm just wondering if anyone has any impressions of anything I might be ignoring?

DOB 08/12/66, if you want to know!

3. Columbus, Ohio
and unfortunately nobody knows the time, except for a vague "about 4 in the afternoon."

2.  Often I find that panic attacks are associated with
feeling a lack of control or power in some area of your life. If everything is going well, that may not be the case. I'd explore whether there's any area of your life where you may feel you are compromising something? If there really isn't anything, then maybe it's possible you are in such a good place that you are being prompted by your subconscious to deal with something from your past, because you are strong enough to do so now.

The only impression I was getting was something to do with a car or driving. Does that make any sense? I also haven't looked at your chart since I don't have my astro program loaded on my new computer yet!

I'm sorry you are suffering with panic and anxiety...I do know how awful it can be.

4. Driving doesn't ring any bells
but my life ended up in a good spot right now through absolutely NO effort on MY part - so the being out of control bit might be on the spot....the panic generally comes when I'm alone, specifically when I'm alone in my house.

5. Have you looked at nutrition or exercise?
I've examined my own anxiety lately, and found that a slice of it is rooted in my physical inertia. A brisk walk and some deep breathing, even visual exercises (long range, "cloud watching") can do a lot to dispell the anxious energies. I've also been taking some B6 and Vitex lately for cycle-related mood swings. And I've been taking Epsom salt baths 3-4 times a week. The water use feels extravagant to me, but it's a tiny tub.

One exercise I'm resisting but really need is stretching. I've signed up for a yoga class but I'm a little terrified. It's odd how much of my time I spend in fear of my body, and I hope that yoga will address that.

6. Have been breathing....
....and taking B6, walking a LITTLE, and yoga is on my list. I too am resistant, mostly because I've never done it!

7. Inositol is good for panic attacks
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/11386498?ordinalpos=1&itool=EntrezSystem2.PEntrez.Pubmed.Pubmed_ResultsPanel.Pubmed_RVDocSum

GNC brand inositol is good. It takes a lot of it, though, and you have to build up slowly.

It can be a hormonal thing, an adrenal thing, a thyroid thing, etc. There are lots of different causes.
