What is up with the shadows?

I've never been one to have 'guides'. I have one whom I met around 1980. She has not changed a bit. I know I should pay more attention to her. But she never leaves me.

A couple of days ago I felt a shadow run in the door, which I keep open most of the time for air and outdoors. Just saw another one, which ran in the house. Even kitty was getting something... digging around and on the hunt.

1. Could it be

that they are doing squirrel extermination in the attic? og .. I am so opposed to animal death. But this has been going on for months. I first heard them in my room, in the back. Then in the front room. I know they need a place to live. But the attic? The lanlord rep says he has to kill them. I'm so sorry.

6. Why doesn't he just trap them and relocate them?

That's what we do with our unwanted rodents. There are unspoiled tracts of land with water and trees that we take them to and release them. It seems he needs to seal off any openings that they are getting into as well once he catches them so they don't get back in.

7. Up north

we did that with raccoons. I don't know what the situation is here. I should have suggested that.

edit: there might be such a large deer population that people deal with continually (they do not kill them .. leave that to hunters . ugh) that squirrels just don't seem to come into play. .. As of tonight, I'm hearing them again.

btw, I relocate June bugs all the time. Crickets, lizards, bees, birds, etc. I dunno.

2. Get some totems for your doorways and windowsills ...

... I broke up the remnants of a smudging bundle, retied them into smaller bundles, said a prayer and hung 'em over each of my doors and windows, as well as spreading salt on the thresholds of each ... at least I know that whatever does come in, can't be evil or ill-intentioned.

that sounds like a lovely idea. .. I do have two by the front door. Crystal and chime. I'm also moving some 'energy' out of the house. Whoa won't that feel good.

4. SMUDGE

Every day, 'til they're gone. I assume you have an abalone shell. Start
at the east and go clockwise, in every room, nook and cranny and every
floor. End up in the East. Put the shell down on the floor, stick the
bundle in it and let it go out naturally.

IMPORTANT : leave a window opened a few inches (6") on the North side,
or the one closest to the point of origin of the Ritual. Make sure all
other windows and door are shut.

It has always worked for me. Dark shadows are very upsetting, so take
a deep breath and try to concentrate while you smudge.

5. A good idea to smudge

and to do a cleansing ceremony. I did a formal ceremony to rid a house of evil influences, and saw some of them as they departed. Some were of a shadow, dusty like form. Shadows are attracted to light, and especially now, as the great transformation steps up a notch, many are going to houses of light to hide, believe it or not.

As others have, I would suggest a smudge stick. Or use a candle and rose water. But be sure you go by every corner, and open every box and trunk-from my experience with ridding the house, they tend to go to such places, hoping they will escape.

8. I love the rose water idea!

I have never used it, but it sounds delicious. I've mentioned that my rose quartz went missing in another place. Which I guess needed cleansing.

I have beautiful raw pink roses. I would love to craft my own.
Did a brief google, and so, do you get it at a health food store?

The roommate who just moved in has a stack of boxes stored in the garage. I don't keep too many closed containers. I think he would go along with it. Open his boxes to be smudged with a candle and rose water.

Why does this sound like the perfect solution?

So, what are the shadows? I felt no fear at all. Is is a bad thing they are trying to hide in Light places? Why would they do that?

My house is going through a transition. The kitchen used to be so dark. Someone who loves me gave me a bright new white table and blond chairs that just light up the room. I'm removing all the dark stuff, slowly and steadily.

I'll do a smudge. I'm just curious what this is about? They did not seem dangerous. But, eek, might be some other time. All information is appreciated.

9. Well from my understanding

and really what do any of us know for sure. The dimensions are moving through each other. Shadowy stuff used to happen as a prerequisite to enlightenment. For some reason(at least in the earlier days of this energy enhancing time) people had to get a taste of that dimension if for no other reason than to acknowledge it's existence.


I would smudge as well and say some powerful life enhancing prayers. Stella is very good at positive prayers, maybe she could come up with a good one. :).

10. What are the shadows?

I'm not sure, but I think that they are thoughts that have lingered and are stuck. They can come from an event or be manufactured by a person who, for whatever reason, holds some ill will against another. Their power comes from fear, I think, and people believing that they HAVE power.

The ceremony I did is one that is part of a number of ceremonies that ordained ministers in my Sufi Order can perform. It is not something I would attempt to do lightly-I was in touch with my guides, both my in the flesh guide and spirit guides, and did quite a bit of preparation -purification of my body and my thoughts- before doing it. Even then, in one room in the house, one of the shadows literally jumped on my shoulder and my candle blew out on its own--I ran back to the altar and immediately re-lit it. The shadow itself was grey, rather than black, and looked a bit like a large spider covered with dust. I came back and literally chased it and the other shadows that were lingering out of the house. The homeowner and my husband, who were both present, were, like me, aware of a sense of a lot of things fleeing from the house.

One thought--besides preparing yourself and making sure you have spiritual helpers, etc--start your ceremony at the topmost part of your house. Be sure to hold the candle and sprinkle the rose water in each room, each closet, etc. We do a prayer as we enter each room, basically asking that Light enter and darkness leave. I think going from the top of the house to the bottom is very important, because it drives the shadows before it--by the time we were in the basement, everyone could feel them leaving, as described above.

Didn't mean to go on and on so much, but I felt it important to let you know details. Definately have spiritual backup-I called on my spirtual guides when the shadow blew out the candle!

11. For much of the summer and fall,

I have felt a spiritual battle in my life. I can't really describe it. There were many times when I literally just wanted to give up. That's not usual. But there have also been huge spiritual blessings. Somewhere along the way, and I think due to reading this forum (for which I am so thankful), I have just started giving thanks and blessings for all things. It isn't over yet, but I have felt a very positive shift. I did a ritual a few weeks ago. Wanted to write about it here, but it seemed to personal. It may be that it had a much greater effect than I had imagined.

My rm and I are planning to spend time together on Christmas day and that's probably when we can do this. Thank you so much for sharing your experience.

13. Of course it is!

That part of the channeling really caught my attention.

I was 'getting away with it', until the mirror showed up. But Light has shown up even stronger.
So perhaps I had to go to the bottom before I can get the courage to go to the top.

Right before I read this post, my pc started playing something that sounds like, "Do you know you are my hero". I have checked every web page and can find nothing that would be playing that.

I may be having a psychotic break? I'll enjoy every minute of it! But darn it, I have to do a reboot.

I've been confronted. And recently accepted. I think the acceptance it healing more than any confrontation ever did.

Makes sense, does it not? As per the LOA. The more you say, NO! The stronger the force gets.
I have been listening to the wonderful series that Lil'Dreamer posted. It is about surrender. To stop the madness, it has to be accepted as is. This fits in with holodynamics. And a sig I read on another post. War is never won by war.

Thank you for posting this clip. Perhaps the way to remove their "meal ticket", is to offer them something to eat. Other than oneself of course.

I had such a problem with an acquaintance this past year. I HATED him. He made himself my enemy. I had never had an enemy before. And I read something along the lines .. and think it came from a Taoist teaching .. that if an enemy approaches, I should offer food and comfort. Welcome them. I went way wrong on this particular enemy. In retrospect, it would have been a much different outcome if I had heard that lesson before instead of after.

14. This could be a problem in my life

I went through severe depression for a few years and I'm just off the meds now. I admit to using alcohol as a crutch esp. since I moved out me and my ex's house. Trying to cut down but the urges are strong.

16. Sometimes they are just an indicator that stuff is happening.

At least for me, anyway...

I'll know that something is in the wind or something is headed my way when I start to catch sight of stuff out of the corner of my eye or as just a flash. Usually, for me anyhow, it is not anything with any particular influence (either positive or negative!)

I'll tell kevsand that I'm "seeing stuff" again and that some kind of event is coming up. He usually goes, "Well, ok then," and we see what turns up. Sometimes it is happy sometimes not.

Are you visually inclined? Does premonition ever manifest to you in a visual way?

I am very visual. I've never made a correlation between the things you see from the corners of your eye and something happening later. Years ago I heard a radio show which indicated those things are just entities, so let it pass. I do have some 'talent' (or disability) for painting word pictures.

No doubt, there have been some unusual things going on. A few major and many minor.

Actually. Just about 10 days after moving into this house (May 2006), a traumatizing event happened in my bedroom. I could not even sleep in there for quite a while. I did smudge it, and the entire house. The event that triggered that turned into quite a nice blessing for me and many others. It could have easily been avoided ...if! So perhaps just my perception that it was 'wrong', on so many levels, needs to be abandoned. The path to peace. Sometimes this place seems like such a wonderous blessing and other times feels like I just need to get the hell out. Doing quite a bit to change that.
