My strange dream

I usually have weird dreams and I can usually figure out the point of them (and/or if there is one), but this dream was different. I had it right before I woke up so I still remember a good bit of it. I remember somehow getting to this other reality. It was on Earth but just a different universe. Parallel I guess. I was in this parking garage and this guy who was tall, skinny and had dark brown spiked hair and an earring on his left ear was being my guide. We ended up at this cafeteria and the man said hi to the person at the register to let them know he was there. You could tell he was a regular. We went to this back upper level of the cafeteria that had tables there and we saw two guys sitting at one table. The guy sat down and encouraged me to sit as well even though I felt really uncomfortable at first. One of the guys was in his older years. I'd say his mid fifties or early sixties. The first thing he says to me is: "are you a medium and singer/songwriter?" I take my right hand and make the motions for "so/so" and I warm up to the guy and become more comfortable around him. After a few minutes of talking we both ended up leaving and he had with him some Chinese food. Next all of a sudden me, him and for some reason Harry Reid were on this bridge running trying to hurry up so I could get back to my reality. I knew I had to get back but I didn't want to leave the guy I was with. What was really weird was on this bridge instead of having road signs that show you where you're going it was advertisements of products and music. I thought that was very strange. Before I knew it I was at this really beautiful hotel and in a wedding dress about to marry this other guy. I knew I was engaged to this other guy for a long time and we had been waiting for this day for a good while. I was walking down these stairs and when I was almost at the bottom I hollared at this guy who was apart of the wedding about to enter these double doors on the right side. He came over and I told him to get someone. I didn't hear who the name of the guy was though. The guy came to me and he was an important person to the wedding. Not to me but he was to this other guy I could tell. I told him I think I need to stop the wedding. He was really surprised and I told him to get this other guy who was a friend of mine and who I could sense was a friend of mine in the dream. He came rushing to me and was freaking out. I whispered to him I thought I was in love with another man and might have to stop the wedding. He was surprised and I asked him for my cell phone. He quickly went and got it and me and the two guys went to the nearest restroom. For some weird reason they came in with me and I was getting upset and yelling at them to leave and I needed my privacy. Another weird thing is they tried to hide behind a shower curtain. :shrug: But it didn't work with me and they finally left. I went through my phone list and found the other guys name. His name was TJ Michael but he went by Michael. At first I thought he wasn't going to answer and I got a bad connection. Finally he answered and I told him it was me. He was really surprised and shocked to hear from me but happy too. I told him right away that I stopped the wedding and he asked why and told me I had to continue it. I told him I was in love with him and wanted to be with him and I wanted to come back to him. He told me that couldn't happen and I had to stay where I was. I could sense for some reason he was trying to protect me. He told me the police came by his house and they asked him about a murder and where he was and that he said I confirmed where he was. I could sense he wasn't directly involved but he knew the people who were. I kept telling him over and over that I was in love with him and wanted to be with him. I remember right before I woke up the number twelve came to me and I knew I got this number for some reason before I woke up. Does anybody know why I had this dream? I don't remember what happened with the dream and the guy. Thanks in advanced with the dream.

1. Your dreams sounds very complex

I do think that throughout our life that we received counseling through dreams. I think that was part of what you experienced, maybe an encouragement to develop your talents through music, the other part, I would not rate as important, sometimes when we are on
a creative "high" I think we add a little frosting, bits and pieces
of our reality whether personal or from observations to fill in the details. It's hard to explain but what I have experienced is that part of me is experiencing the dream and like part of me is standing
back critiquing, I sometimes hear myself commenting like "this is too weird" and this is usually before I wake up. So while part of
you was actively dreaming, part of you was observing the dream and
jazzing it up.

Two dreams by DUers about weddings in the last two weeks. I don't know anything about dream symbolism, but weddings could signify unions or contracts.

I don't know much about this realm, but I do feel this realm is rapidly becoming part of our reality and your unconscious state seems anxious to explore and become part of it. I say this with the highest respect for how far you are evolved.

4. Interesting

I didn't think about that. The things that really popped out at me with this dream is the parallel or alternative universe, the number twelve (what does that number mean??) and the ending when I stop this wedding to call this other guy and confess my feelings to him. This dream was different from others in the sense it was more real and able to explore etc. So what do you think this realm is that was in my dream? Do you sense anything about this guy? I do remember what he looks like but it wasn't a huge part in the dream and not very focused on what he looks like. Just him in general and my relationship with him. I just met him in this other realm and was already very warmed up to him. Like I loved him for years before hand and I couldn't marry this other guy. Something else that popped out to me was in the dream when I was at the wedding I saw myself and I saw my teeth and my mind focused on them and I was wearing my retainer. In real life I only have to wear my retainer during the week while I sleep so I don't know why I would be wearing it in the day. :shrug:

5. I'm just starting to explore this so I'm hardly an expert

But there's a spiritual world out there that seems to be trying to connect with us (and us to them). They seem only to be able to connect with the more evolved souls. That's where you come in. Your initial uncomfortableness with this strange being shortly became very comfortable once you knew you were safe. Then coming back to this realm, you're talking about wanting to marry someone other there. Talk about embracing the new relationship! I don't have much more information than that. I myself am just starting to read about this and trying to understand myself, but I find it fancinating. When you explained your dreams, that explanation just popped out at me.

7. Interesting

I didn't think about that. I did think it was weird how in my dreams was this alternative/paralell universe or something. It was very easy to connect through (I could reach him by cell phone) and in the beginning of the dream appeared to easily get there. :shrug: What else do you know about this ordeal? I've never heard about this.

11. I'd like to get more information before offering more

I just got the movie "Who the Bleep are We?" (I don't remember the exact title) and have started the Seth books and reading other similar sites. Put that together with sharing my own personal accounts from years ago with friends while hearing their experiences and I'm amazed at the incredibly small box we all have been living in. The possibilities are endless and we generally stick close by what we've learned to accept as reality.

Your dream seemed to show your preference in learning and identifying more with the parallel universe than our own at this time. Several years ago, I experienced this myself and now, with our country in the shape it's in and so many Americans reacting in a way that we simply can't comprehend, it's reasonable that a lot of us are searching beyond our newspapers and media for answers.

I am no numerologist, but it would distill 12 down to 1+2=3, and 3 is a sacred number. 60 was also a base for Sumerian math (the ultimate numerologists), and for a long time I could not understand that, since it is far more complicated than a 10 base number system. However, in computing (I am an IT person) the binery system is imperative as to how computers works, 1's and zeros, and interestingly, our IP addresses as in binery, which is in groups of three.

I am not sure why I am postiung this, just got an urge to add it to your dream account, I do not know why. I do not neccessarily trust that it has any meaning, but you take it from there.

9. Only What I First Wrote That I Can think Of

12 is also part of the base of 60, which (60) is a segment, 1/6, of the perfect circle ~ 360 degrees. 12 distilled down in numerology is 1+2=3. 12 X 30=360...all perfect (even) divisible of 360 degrees, which is degrees in the perfect circle. 12 X 30...I am thinking about 12 X 30 you can see that both factors distill down to three...Also 360/5=72 and 72 distills down to 9 ~ whose square root is...you get it... 3 again!

The Babylonians, today's Iraqis, were masters with numbers, they knew about the Sacred Circle, I am just thinking (probably too much, lol) 12 X 5 are divisible of the base of 60, the base of the Sumerians and Babylonians used for calculations...hmmmm.

10. There seem to be some symbols in your dream pointing to

something completed, something over with. A bridge often means getting from here to there--what do you want to connect with? In your dream you want to marry someone who says it's not possible. He's somehow involved with a murder. Murder can symbolize the sudden end of something. 12 sometimes stands for a complete cycle, as in the 12 houses of astrology, or the 12 months of the year. Just a thought: could the man you spoke with on the cell phone, the man you wanted to marry, be an aspect of your animus, telling you to move on to something else? These are just suggestions--of course, dreams are very personal, and to some extent, we sometimes have our own "dream systems" and our own symbolism.

And since you have him as your avatar why do you think Harry Reid was in my dream? :crazy: He was one of the people on the bridge with me on my right (and all of us were holding hands as to not lose each other to all make it at the same time).
