Clarification of 0 Degrees Aries "House Cusp" in your chart
Edited on Fri May-07-10 12:58 PM by ricochetastroman
I know many of you are very interested as to "where" 0 degrees of Aries falls in your chart, i.e., what house to look for in terms of this new birth of energies coming forth on 5/27 from Jupiter and Uranus.

By definition, if you have any house cusp with the sign of Aries on the cusp, the 0 point, or 0 Aries falls in the
HOUSE BEFORE that house.

So, for instance, if your house cusp says 3 degrees Aries or 23 degrees Aries, in most cases, the
point you are looking for is the house before that.

If your house cusp says "some degree" of Aries and the house before it starts before 0 Aries, that's the house you want, the one before it.

I know it's seemingly complicated, but that's astrology. Hope this helps you... :hi:

EXAMPLE: In this example, the HOUSE CUSP is at 9 Aries 52'...

(Keep in mind, some rare charts actually have 0 Aries on the cusp. Some houses are "intercepted" too.)

1. So that would put it in my 2nd house, correct?
Great! Finance and security -- as if that weren't already f--ked up enough.

2. Au contraire
It by no means that it will get more FFFed up. It means, as per the Newsletter, that YOU will be fed up with the situation and feel ready to DO something to alter it. Delusions persist: the second house is mostly about your sense of self-worth.

Good luck with the new spark :hi:

4. Rick....
according to my chart on Astrodienst....

it says my moon is 4 Aries 12 35
and my Ascendent is 16 Aries 7.....

is that what you are talking about....
or am I totally missing the point?

5. Close, but...
if the ascendant is 16 Aries, that means it's the start of the first house.
Therefore, 0 Aries is in your 12th house, the house before it.

The 12th is the house of letting go and letting God. (not this crap you read about jails, hospitals, hidden situations, etc.)

It's really that simple. You are ready. :hi:

It takes time... If Aries is on your midheaven (at 18 degrees Aries), then that is where your 10th house starts.
therefore, 0 Aries is in your ninth :hi: THe house of philosophy

17. Aries is my ascending sign at 1 degree.
It shows up on my astro.com chart as AC 1 Ari 32'

Is this to mean it is pushed back into my 12th house? I have no planets in my first house however Saturn and Chiron are in my 12th. I actually work in a hospital lol. But Saturn has been in a bad place for me and my husband career and moneywise. I hope that Uranus and Jupiter have a positive (revolutionizing) affect on that area. My husband is also a Leo.

20. Your ascendant is 1 Ari 32
Which technically means that the Aries pt is in your 12th.
However, it is so close to your 1st, that I'd consider it first house.
This is a huge symbol of your readiness to stop holding back (if you indeed are) and go for it in your life. It's that simple, not vague, it's that widespread. :hi:

18. Rick, question about no planets in a house
In my case I do not have any planets in 7th. Should I look at the planets which are opposing or square to the 7th house? For example in the natal chart Jupiter opposes 0 point Aries.

19. An empty house means nothing
It's more important to talk about a house that is heavily overloaded.
Just look for 0 Aries, that house is amplified.
IF aspects are made to planets near 0 Cancer, 0 Libra, or 0 Capricorn, they come into effect in a big way; the whole story just becomes more complicated.

In your case, the trine to Uranus is significant.

All about breaking out of MINDSETS that have kept you 'CAUGHT' in relationships.

Best of luck :hi:

21. Meaning of the Aries point in all 12 houses
So many of you have asked me to interpret the 12 possible houses for your new Uranus/Jupiter entrance into 0 degrees of Aries.

These are just my opinions and viewpoints; most astrologers vary at least slightly. If the Aries point is going to occur in your house NUMBER:

1. This is such a personal house, it means YOU want to project YOURSELF into your world as opposed to (7) being overly concerned about finding your identity via another (7).
2. This house is about being fed up with not having enough of a sense of SELF-WORTH. No matter what someone else says, it's about how you value yourself.
3. A brand new way of using your mind and thinking, so that it will SERVE YOU.
4. Emotions/home. This house about a renewal in your HEART. Tired of feeling the same old way? This is about being ready to DUMP OLD EMOTIONAL BAGGAGE.
5. It is about expressing yourself and not holding back! See, I can do this. I have something to say. That's where to expect the renewal energy to work.
6. I am responsible and I can do things right. Taking on things that represent a new skill-set in your life. Also, taking a strong preventative role in your health.
7. Ready to relate to others on a one-to-one basis, while not losing your individuality.
8. Ready to relate to others on a very intimate level, enhancing your self-worth THROUGH another but not becoming too dependent on how they are.
9. Changing your philosophy so that it works FOR you.
10. Changing/renewing your stance in the world. Doing things in the world because your want to, not because it's the safe, proper thing to do.
11. Going after what you really have been wishing for yourself for a long time and creating via the group or associations, or friends.
12. Letting go and surrendering to "God's" will.

There are many ways to interpret the 12 houses, however this this the basis I am using as a starting point when I am looking at client's Aries point coming up late May and early June.

I hope this gives you some ideas. :hi:

23. For others like myself, who are largely clueless about astrology...

I referred to my astrobot chart, saw where the Aries sign was located and looked up the various houses (see, that's how much of a newbie I am...lol) and see it falls in the Third House.

The third house describes your mental state, intellectual orientation, self-expression and communication, early education, mechanical dexterity and skills, immediate environment (neighborhood), and siblings. It indicates physical actions, and transportation, especially within your immediate environment. To a certain extent the third house also describes the job or health of your mother.

Planets in the third house reflect particular facets of these matters; for example, Mercury in the third house indicates those who are natural communicators. Since communication and transportation are the areas governed by the third house, Mercury's influence here indicates writers, teachers, publishers, salespersons, secretaries, and those involved in community projects, mail delivery, telephones, or other businesses concerned with communication, transportation and travel.

I read beneath my graphic chart to find the following as it pertains to my chart:

Jupiter is in 18 Degrees Aries.

The way that you grow and develop is by being an uncompromising individualist. You have a great need to be yourself and to explore your latent talents and abilities. Do not be afraid to let yourself go and develop self-confidence and pride in your accomplishments. But try not to become so self-centered that you ignore the needs of others. Also, you may have to build up your self-discipline in order to focus your energies properly.

If I'm interpreting this correctly, I'd say this is spot on. A huge crossroads I've been moving toward for at least 15 years. Ready to take a path of much more freedom.

:hi:

27. The "mental block" happens to most new students
the confusing fact is that 0 Aries is always 0 Aries. It comes after 30 degrees of Pisces and begins the 30 degrees of Aries.
It's always in the same place.

The houses do not.

A HOUSE CUSP is any one of 12 points in the 360 of the zodiac, they can be anywhere from 0 Aries to the last degree, 30, of Pisces.

Think of the zodiac in a wooden circle, fixed. The house cusps are 12 etchings into that wheel.

THerefore, if the house cusp is, say, 5 Aries, the point 0 Aries falls into the house before it. Clear as mud :hi:
