Crossword puzzle precognition

Crossword puzzle precognition
Just had to post this. It's just so fun for me. I regularly do crossword puzzles, and often I will think of a word as a possible answer to one clue, it turns out to be wrong for that clue, but the word IS the answer for another clue. I know there are many words commonly used in crossword puzzles (olio, eire, words I have learned over time are sure bets for a certain kind of clue). Typically these precog answers are not among those common CW words for me.

Today's word was "Lasso"

Anyway. Lol. I need to figure out how to make better use of this.
