Happy Birthday Howard Dean!Thank goodness that 56 years ago today—Howard Dean was born. Where would the Democratic Party be without him? He changed the direction and the dialogue of this past election cycle. He's honest, he's direct, he's passionate—just what this country needs right now. And, we know that he's made a difference in many of your lives by encouraging you to be involved and even to run for office.

Yesterday he was at Yale speaking to students about the role the media played in this election (well, let's be honest— in true "Howard Dean" fashion he spoke about how the media is a failed institution).

Unfortunately, Governor Dean is going to spend most of his birthday traveling—he left New Haven early this morning for Little Rock to attend the Clinton Presidential Library opening.
