You could fill a space with 3D sculpture that can't be percieved unless someone has the right interface. You could create a "monster", and pop it in "behind" someone, who wouldn't know it was there until they turned their "viewer" around to look behind them.

I can see lots of applications. Particularly gaming. In the future, modify the viewer to be a pair of goggles. You could play Doom, in full size, in your own home. If the system could analyze existing space, it could even place critters around the house, for you to hunt down, or to hunt YOU down.

A Clouseau could have a virtual Kato. You could change your wall colors. A whole wall could become a TV screen. All seen through goggles.
