New 527 Organization Needs Someone To Help Us With Our Web Site
We are legal now and wanting to launch our website. No one in the group has the computer knowledge to get the website going. We could hire someone but we wanted to see if their was someone on DU who could be our official computer person. Please e-mail me at [email protected] if you want to donate your time to this bran new Organization. Below is what we were thinking of having on our Home Page. It will tell you about our 527 Org. and what we are about. If it sounds like something you want to help with please contact me. Thanks

WHO WE ARE

Shared Values is a 527 dedicated to promoting progressive values across our nation and especially in rural areas. We believe that progressive values are American values. We believe the principles of equal opportunity, fairness and hard work are values that can win throughout rural America.

We have formed to fight back against those who have put greed and hate above our national best interest. We will fight those who want to throw our seniors back into poverty, cut health care for our children and who preach intolerance dressed up as religion. We aim to remind people that the bible urges helping the poor. We will remind people that rewarding hard work is the American way, not rewarding greed.

Our Progressive Values

We believe:

Fighting poverty is a moral value. Its is completely immoral that children in the wealthiest nation in the world go to bed hungry.

Every man, woman and child should have access to affordable quality health care. We believe that it is a negative statement on the morality of a nation if a sick child can’t get health care when he or she is sick.

It is immoral for our government to give tax breaks to send our jobs overseas. We believe it is immoral for CEOs to get bonuses for laying off American workers.

We believe that ensuring that our elderly have a strong social security to depend on in retirement is a moral imperative.

That every American should have equal opportunity at the American dream and discrimination of any kind is wrong.

That education is a universal right and that everyone should have access to quality public education and affordable college education.

What we plan on Doing

With your help, we will take our message of progressive values to voters all across rural America. We will call out conservatives for talking the talk about morality, but failing to walk the walk. We will talk to rural America about the values we share and how we can move this country forward again.

We will do this on television, radio and in people’s mailboxes. But to do this, we need your help. So please contribute today so that we can start winning back rural America today.
