Pray for those with Devic's Disease
A parishioner of mine has just been diagnosed with "Devic's Disease", also known as Neural Myelitis Optica. Her journey has been long and difficult, because of the terrible symptoms, and because so few physicians have dealt with this illness. It's been hard to stand with her, but it has also made me aware of the challenges facing those with myelin-related diseases, and with so-called "orphan diseases" (those so rare few physicians understand them and little research or funding is available).

So, I ask for prayers for W, and for her partner L, and for all those with Devic's Disease and other orphan diseases.
