Anybody cooking for Valentine's Day?
I asked the family for some ideas and all they care about are cupcakes. :)

I'm thinking of this filet mignon recipe from epicurious:

http://www.epicurious.com/recipes/food/views/Filet-Mignon-on-Charred-Onions-and-Zucchini-with-Balsamic-Vinegar-Sauce-230237

Looks simple. Or I may just do the meat with a chive butter.

Whatcha making?

1. I made a card from a photo and chocolate chip cookies.
I put the cookies in a cute box but couldn't find any ribbons, so I wrapped them with mementoes from last year's good times (opera ticket stubs, a chip of turquoise, a loose pearl, a tiny bouquet of fabric flowers) and wrote a poem. I won't know whether I'll be cooking or not until I learn whether he remembered to make reservations somewhere. Filet mignon with chive butter sounds awesome. :hi:

2. That's a very heartfelt gift!
I usually make a card but I feel like skunk-doo today.

I still have a little time to get off the computer and make something...

:hi:

3. Chocolate chip cookies is the only thing he mentioned
that he wanted since last fall! Well, he did shout out for new undies a couple of weeks ago but we took care of that already. He just emailed that we will be dining at Il Sorriso at 7:30. Yummy Italian specialties. I'm psyched. Have a great holiday! :fistbump:

10. Yum!
I'm craving cauliflower. An odd thing to crave but there it is.

How spicy was the dhansak?
