Think I'm kidding? Here are the recipes.

Coca-Cola brined Pilgrim's turkey with Dunkin Donuts old-fashioned cake doughnut sweet and savory stuffing

Coca-Cola brine
1 1/4 cups salt
1 quart Coca-Cola
2 bay leaves
1 medium onion, peeled and halved
2 cloves
1 10- to 12-pound Pilgrim's Pride Whole Butter Basted Turkey

1. Place salt and Coca-Cola in a large deep pot and whisk until salt crystals dissolve. Whisk in 4 quarts cold water. Pin bay leaves to onion halves with cloves and add them to brine. Let mixture cool to room temperature.
2. Add Pilgrim's Pride turkey, placing a large heavy pot or sealed zip-top bag filled with cold water on top to keep bird submerged in Coca-Cola. Place pot in refrigerator and marinate overnight.

Dunkin Donuts old-fashioned cake doughnut sweet and savory stuffing

6 cups Dunkin Donuts old-fashioned cake doughnuts, chopped
2 cups diced onion
1/2 cup butter
2 cups cranberries
2 teaspoons dried rosemary
1/2 tablespoon dried sage
1 cup chicken broth

Cook onion in butter or margarine over low heat until soft. Add doughnuts, cranberries, rosemary and sage, chicken broth, salt and pepper to taste. Mix gently but thoroughly.

They come from this site, which explains that it was all about using food stuffs from big puke donors. And puke is the operative word here.

3. Disgusting.......
Even something as traditional and beautiful as an Inaugural Dinner, when you have access to the best food historians, all the superior ingredients, an army of people to prepare and serve, a worthless thug, lacking style, grace, a respect for and knowledge of history, and anything resembling good taste puts forth something like this and doesn't have the good sense to be embarrassed by it. I just read it here and I'm embarrassed for my country.

How on earth have we survived this waste of life?

Excellent reading -no wonder Scheib left the White House job. What an insult!

Do NOT miss the menu - it's unbelievable. They actually LIST the donors!

Craven hicks.

This was NOT the Senate luncheon. This was a dinner that paid back big donors.

10. I remember it
It was a big deal at the time. I think Laura Bush even did some interviews. You would think it would be the low point of this tacky administration, but I think they outdid this with the red, white and blue Christmas.

12. Whoops............
The Swift Report is a very funny, satirical site. I daresay we've been played.

It's so easy to believe stuff like this about that hick, though. This "menu" steered too close to plausible reality.
