Mini-Honeymoon Foodie Report:
Ok, so we're back from York, ME, and here's what we ate this weekend:

Friday: Lunch/Dinner- Sniffa had incredible French Onion Soup and an enormous Hot Dog wrapped in Bacon (that all nearby couldn't help but gawk at, hehe). I had a wonderful appetizer of deep-fried whole belly clams...yum! And then a decadent Fettucine Alfredo drenched in cream and cheese...with a lovely fresh garlic bread.

Saturday: Breakfast- Sniffa had an Egg Casserole with Ham, Sausage, Potato, and cheeses in it, with homefries. I had Huevos Rancheros which I've never had before and it was amazing!! :o

With Breakfast we also had 2 strong Bloody Marys each :D

Dinner: Sniffa had chicken fingers with a tangy BBQ sauce, and the Surfin Chicken Cordon Bleu with Brown Butter...Delicious! :9

I had an incredibly flavourful Caprese salad, and the Tortellini Carbonara with Pancetta and Grilled Chicken.

In addition, we had (between us) 2 Margaritas, 2 Bloody Marys, 1 Raspberry Cosmopolitan and 2 Banana Coladas before the night was over.

:D

:hi:

1. Okay, now I'm hungry.
You ate well!!

Huevos rancheros are what I make for breakfast almost every morning (in my ongoing effort to shun all carbs...LOL). Good stuff.

2. How do you do yours?
The was a big platter of black beans, smothered in cheese, with 2 fried tortillas on top, topped by two sunny side eggs and salsa and sour cream...Oh, yum! :9

3. Well, the way you had them is how I'd LIKE to have them every morning....
But I go with scrambled eggs smothered in really good spicy avocado salsa. I WISH I could add cheese and sour cream, but that would sorta kill the whole diet thing I have going with it. x(

When I eat out and have that dish, though, I go full-on like you did.

4. Hot Dog wrapped in bacon??
Now that just sounds like a desperate attempt to ingest as much fat in one sitting as possible :) I'm sure it tasted good though.

And what no ice cream at Goldenrod's?

5. Heh. Come to LA sometime, and you'll see those everywhere.
The smell will convince you even before the taste does. For some reason, that's a wildly popular street food in the hispanic neighborhoods here, and it's topped with grilled onions that are cooked in the same try as the bacon-wrapped franks. VERY good stuff.
