Do any of my fellow DU veggies have a favorite Amy's brand veggie item? :hi:

1. My little gripe with Amy
Those soy macaroni & cheeses that aren't dairy-free! Why, Amy, why?

I do enjoy the mexican pot pie and they have an excellent vegan pizza, too.

3. I love those pizzas
But I could do without the frozen caterpiller. Do you think it was inside one of the bell peppers, maybe? I cut open a heirloom tomato from whole foods a couple weeks ago and there was a huge caterpiller in there just minding his own business. I was really glad hadn't hurt him, so I took his tomato and set it out on top of the compost pile. Hopefully it was warm enough there he did okay.

Sorry about the caterpillar, Gothic. That would be a very unwanted surprise indeed! x(

7. I love the veggie loaf!
the mashed potatoes actually taste like mashed potatoes and not some instant starch crap like so many other tv dinners

10. I like
Amy's Brand Shepherd's Pie. My kids like it too and they aren't even vegetarian! Haven't tried the veggie pot pie, no one around here carries it as far as I know.

11. My problem is with the sodium level
of processed foods. I have high blood pressure so I need to be careful.

Have you looked at some of those labels? It's obscene. I wish someone would make low-salt versions of some of this stuff.

12. I agree with you there,
prolesunited. That would be a great if Amy's or another veggie company would make low-sodium versions of these dishes. I have no willpower, so I end up reading the labels and buying anyway x(
