it is canning and freezing season
so far I have asparagus corn tomatoes blueberries sweet cherries peaches strawberries green beans all local produce and all vegetarian , guaranteed by-- ME! I love this season when I can be "earth mother" and do what my grandmother and mother taught me long ago, to preserve food for the winter. are my southern roots showing?:hippie:

and still do when I get the chance. I'm living in an apartment, so no goodies for me. When I visit family, I do. I put up strawberries and peaches last time I went home. I miss being able to do it. (My yankee roots are showing!)
