For the kids - online or printable solar system coloring book
This is cool, We are talking about Saturn today as it is prominent in the night sky. As we were googling along, found this cool site.

Have some fun and good discussion starters for small people learning about what is beyond their block!

3. You guys gonna let them intimidate you?
LOL Not moi! FEMA is OURS. Why give it up to the evil bastards at the top? The folks who do the work do GOOD work when the management doesn't get in their way.

If you get hit by a disaster, and they show up with a cup of soup, take the soup. It is YOUR soup. ;)

4. I just can't connect FEMA to Saturn; why are they involved?
But yes, I would take the soup; it might show up 3 months late, but I'd take it.

5. Sadly, the soup probably would show up late, if the brass has anything
to do with it.

Maybe FEMA, the real FEMA where the worker bees care, is interested in fostering interest in science? Tomorrow's problem solvers come from what we start in kids today.

6. questioning FEMA connection
I just fired off a nice praise filled email about the content of the site, how i'll apply it in my classroom etc. from my school dist. . email. Oh, I added the question as to how is FEMA connected to this subject matter.

I'll fill you in once they respond, if they do.

7. Thanks. Do let us know
Lots of government sites have interactive pages for kids. Don't think it's a bad think to use a little government resources on getting kinds interested in science AND putting resources in the hands of teachers.
