Can anyone point me to an executive summary of the major points of
the health plan currently before Congress?

All I can find are vaguely worded documents for it and screeds against it. I have found the full text but don't have the time or patience to wade through the legalese.

I'm looking something that translates the plan into plain English point by point.

1. Here
There are 2 that have gotten out of committee, the Senate Kennedy HELP bill and the House bill.

I pulled out the pertinent info, but there are also links to House and Senate summaries.

3. Thanks!
The one thing I wish it would do that it doesn't is BAN deductibles. Other countries may have co-pays (Japan has a 30% co-pay for routine care, full coverage for a list of catastrophic and chronic conditions), but none that I know of have deductibles.

4. I think there are annual caps
I know that isn't the same as banning deductibles but it would help if it were a reasonable amount. I think the real fighting will start when the details are hammered out after this passes. Every state will have to create an exchange or join the national exchange so what is that going to look like. All kinds of details to stay on top of.

2. Will the lack of info make it harder for this to pass?
