The lies my father's supplement companies told me.....
Citrical states on the telly, "Citrical is the first company to add genestein to their calcium supplement" this reminds me of One a Day bragging that they have put lutein in theirs, or Centrum Silver bragging that they have put lycopene in theirs. I guess if I made a product and put 2 micrograms of this or that in it I could hoodwink a large portion of the population as well.

Shame on these companies for misleading people into believing their products have anywhere near the amount of antioxidants/co-enzymes/cofactors etc that could render a therapeutic benefit for people who are looking for the truth and finding misleading advertisements and subterfuge.

Genestein has been added to calcium supplements by reputable supplement manufacturers for YEARS... and as far as potency goes, Solotron values are on the left, Centrum is on the right, this is taken from the GNC website, dated October 19, 2000.

2. But that's all in the past now.
Supplement companies now are good public servants who never pay dividends to stockholders because they never make a profit. In fact, they donate much of their product to widows and orphans.

5. They
were equating your "father's supplements" with ALL supplements. Miss the point entirely per usual.
Nothing to fret.

7. Yeah, never mind that
Centrum is manufactured by Wyeth, a pharmaceutical company.
Solotron is Not. Who's lying?

10. Well, Solotron may be good.... foodform tm food supplements
may be better.... amino acid chelates are great, but if people want to eat chemicals I say, let them. Sort of like smoking but not as bad... still we have to carry the additional healthcare costs associated with deceptive advertising in the supplement industry. Not good.

8. You're missing out on so much.
For instance, with this sentence:

"I guess if I made a product and put 2 micrograms of this or that in it I could hoodwink a large portion of the population as well."

You just perfectly described homeopathy. Well, except for the fact that you'd be lucky if a homeopathic product contained as much as 2 μg of the "active" ingredient.

9. And he is missing the irony
He used to claim that tiny doses of mercury caused autism.

Now he claims that tiny doses are not therapeutic doses.

Suddenly he has seen the light and realized that efficacy IS dose dependent.

Who knows, if he sticks around long enough, he may even give up on his car that runs on water.

11. Is that the "special" water or just the stuff that comes out of the tap?
