7. Ugh, I got Jehovah's Witnesses on Thanksgiving a few years ago.

They looked very official, so I opened the door.

12. My problem is that my local Jehovah's Witnesses are very elderly African Americans.

I can't bring myself to go ape-shit on them or even to be rude. In fact, I'm usually worried about them walking around in the hot sun in their three-piece suits and fancy dresses because their average age around here appears to be ninety. I usually end up asking them if they're ok, do they need a glass of water. Then they push a brochure at me that depicts my various identities - lesbian, pagan - as the devil incarnate, and I end up giving them a quarter to buy it because I'm too polite to say anything.

I need to stop this.

16. One thing I can say for the JWs ... they don't involve themselves in politics.

...it is their official policy to remain politically neutral in all matters. They don't run for office, involve themselves in political campaigns --they don't even vote, so no one can blame them for forcing their religious beliefs on others, unlike the Mormons, so I will give them props for that.
