Meet my new sweetheart...his name is Ashley!

You knew it was a kitten as soon as I said that, didn't you? Anyway, a woman found him, couldn't keep him, contacted other people, I said I'd take him in until we found a home. He is the sweetest kitten, probably around 8 weeks, looks in size closer to 5 or 6 weeks, but has a very good appetite. Just got him last night and he purred right away when I handled him...I'm keeping him in the bathroom away from the other cats and he went right to sleep last night, exhausted from his ordeal. He didn't cry once. I took him out this morning to play, and everytime I put him down, he kept jumping back up and cuddling. The one thing that got him going was when he saw one of my other cats, sat right up, his tail went up, and I swear it was wagging when he followed her. Anyway, there's some interest already, but I'm not sure if I'm going to give him up. I'll keep him at least a week to make sure everything's ok with him.

1. You are such a push-over...
I vote for keeping him. He's obviously attached to you. :)

(And thank you for being such a good push-over.)

Looks a lot like my Dubya. Dubs has been at the vet's since Tuesday with a serious
red blood cell problem. It could be auto-immune and that's often fatal. My Dubya is 8 years old and came to me as a feral cat.

13. I lost one like that a couple of months ago.
I sure hope things turn out OK for Dubya. Feral cats, tamed and loved, are amazing companions. to both of you. I am sending good thoughts and wishes.

I wish my cats were cuddlers but all three are fairly stand-off-ish.

Whoever gets Ashley will be very lucky

16. This little guy can't get enough sugar...
If I do give him to a new home, it's gonna be someone who really loves cats and will keep giving him affection, because he thrives on it.

25. I call that kind of cat a dog-cat
I adore dogs because they act like I'm God (incorrect assumption, but they're so cute while doing it). I'm less enamored of most cats because they act like I'm the hired help. But I've met a number of dog-cats and I've loved each of them. Those eyes are windows into Ashley's soul. Good kitty.

Sounds like he has decided that he is staying with you, you are his guy now. Whatever you decide will the the right thing I am sure. Yup, you are a pushover and I adore pushovers

11. He is the twin of a female cat I had about ten years ago.
Their markings are identical from the long gray fur, to the white eyeliner to the stripes on his front legs.

Mine had striped belly like a Siberian Tiger.

She was a total looker and boy did she ever know it.

She was one of my fave cats ever.

I'll bet he'll be one of your faves as well.

Hope the domestic feline politics works out.

Congrats !!!

33. Welp birth marks can fade. Hair and fur can turn colors.
Mine didn't make it much past her first birthday so can't begin to guess what might have happened but I'd seriously doubt that they would disappear given how well defined they were.

But heck, my brother's beard has been different combinations of 4 colors over time. He never dyed it.

Are you leaning towards keeping Ashley?

If not, in what region of the country do you reside ?

I'd snag him if I could.

Good luck either way.

Introducing a kitten into a household with established adult cats is definitely a balancing act. Hopefully it will be worth it in the long run. Good luck! :hi:
