Former NBA Star Denies Hoping for "Full Blown AIDS" to Naysayers
Former Denver Nuggets forward Kenyon Martin is denying that he tweeted a wish for his personal "haters" to develop full-blown AIDS and die on Sunday.

"All Haters should catch full-blown AIDS and Die! Do the world a favor! and rid us of you all!" Kenyon is alleged to have tweeted, following NBA commissioner David Stern's decision to cancel the first two weeks of the new season because of an unresolved labor dispute between team owners and players.

Although it is unclear exactly who Martin was addressing with such choice words, according to USA Today, his Twitter account has been taken down. Since then Martin has denied ever making such remarks, "This is Kenyon folks, I didn't write that about the AIDS!"

Controversy is not new to Martin who over his career, has had a rocky relationship with the media and basketball executives. When the Denver Nuggets failed to offer Martin a contract extension before the labor dispute, the veteran player opted last month to sign a one-year deal to play in China - and vented his frustration toward his former team.

2. You know what pisses me off?
158 Views & you are the first to comment. I am living with AIDS, this is one of the most outrageous things that a person can say.

I will also add Silence = death in more ways than one. Pitiful.

5. Well, this is my first viewing, and my rec+ on it.
I'm not sure what people can say about it..

this is pretty cut and dry that Kenyon is pretty darn ignorant, and it would appear unable to admit when he totally fucks up.

There's no grey area or points to debate about what he said.. i think it would be pretty universally agreed here that what he said was stupid and ignorant.

7. Sorry about that William. :-(
After my parents divorced, my mom moved to manhattan and to help make ends meet got a roommate named Patrick. Patrick was an ice skater and as one might guess, a member of the LGBT community. I got to know him pretty well and he was a great guy. We thought of him as one of the family. Then Patrick got sick, before the HRT therapy had been invented, and he died. I was 11. My mother and I still talk about him 31 years later.

4. That is an absolutely disgusting and ignorant thing to say to another person.
And if you're going to say something like this, you should be prepared to own your words. The denial after the fact is a further insult.

:puke:
