Bachmann admits to ex-gay therapy at his clinic

Republican presidential candidate Michelle Bachmann’s husband Marcus Bachmann has confirmed that ex-gay therapy takes place at his Christian counseling center.
An out gay man recently went undercover to Marcus Bachmann and Associates posing as a struggling ex-gay patient. He recorded the sessions, in which the counselor tried to cure him of same-sex attraction.

“This individual came to us under a false pretense,” Marcus Bachmann said in an interview with the Minneapolis Star Tribune. “The truth of the matter is he specifically asked for help. Is a remedy form that I typically would use? … It is at the client’s discretion.”

Ex-gay therapy has been discredited by the American Medical Association, American Psychological Association, American Psychiatric Association, and the American Counseling Association, among others.

2. I went to a Baptist "Christian" school in Arizona

in the early 70's and it was first grade. I am female, and got held during recess, along with the little boy who beat up other kids (because obviously, we had identical behavioral problems) to flip me from being left-handed.

That's how fucked up evangelicals are.
