This is not a joke, it is deadly serious, and I wish I had figured this out earlier.

GLBT people deserve to marry, love one another, adopt children, whatever they want, and our ignorannce is the barrier between what they want and what we in our pretentions think is best for them.

This is ridiculous.

My heart goes out to all GLBT people, and I am so sorry you face such ignorance from people like me.

I love you all, and support you one hundred percent.

2. I feel the same way! As an heterosexual woman, I didn't really have much

exposure to gay/lesbian issues until I began doing an internship with people with AIDS 15 years ago.

That close contact with gays and lesbians really opened my eyes and made me realize how unfair and ridiculous homophobia was!

I have been actively supporting equal rights for gays and lesbians since then!

3. Mike I don't begrude you

Life is an evolution, we learn and we evolve. I applaud you for allowing yourself to see beyond the talking points, the religious spin etc.


I honestly believe that so many of us (not including myself, I tackled that years ago)are still in the closet due to many reasons and it's not apparant that we probably look you and others in the eye everyday.

This country has allowed the Right Wing to dictate how Americans view minority populations for at a minimum the last 30 years. They don't want you to know that we are raising normal children, most if not all of us have come from straight married couples and basically we are your everyday Americans just trying to make it like everyone else is.

We love you for simply being aware of our reality. With you and others we will make it so all Americans are able to live and love in a healthy way and not in the shaddows.

I seem to remember that you once asked what groups you could support and some of us responded with some suggestions, including Lambda Legal, and you responded by donating to them! How cool is that?

You and many other straight allies here and in the real world are known and appreciated.
