I am not going to EVER fly again.
The Scanner freaks me out.The "pat down" will trigger my PTSD big time.I might freak out and fight,and that would make it all worse for me.There are people who have suffered child abuse,rape sexual assaults, in various stages of recovery from traumas and some might very well have a meltdown/abreaction/go fight or flight at being groped.

Than there is THIS, issue...
Being a trans guy,will the TSA ass-hats order me to take off my prosthetic down below?? That will not only make me mad as hell but I'd feel humiliated and outed.I'd be paranoid in the airport men's room.
Not all trans-genders can get surgery,they do the best they can. TSA makes sure you get outed either way.FUCK THIS SHIT, It's GOT to STOP..NOW!!!

This could be dangerous or life altering in a bad way for transgendered people, The Scanner or the grope it will be an Instant outing.Maybe an awkward 'splainin to do,for the people that the trans person wanted to not disclose their gender situation to..
If the monsters on the right ,say in secret they want to wipe out us transgendered people,they now have the "proof" to find us out,harass or scapegoat us even worse than we get now. Arrrgh ,If A majority say they think this bullshit makes them feel "safe"..Sure makes me feel NOT SAFE..

And as for deleting the naked images? Hell I'm sure they can save them,how else would they have PROOF a 'terrorist' had some device hidden on their body to get an arrest..

ridiculous. IMO it's preparation for a police state, intimidation until total submission to the ruling authority. Citizens in this country are demeaned more and more each day as the threshold for compliance is lowered by increasing loss of civil rights. Still, too many Americans are asleep at the wheel, many apathetic and unconcerned, as usual, 'till it hits them smack in the nose, then WTF, and then it's too late.

If the R's get fully back in this country in any sense of its former self can be kissed goodbye, they will take it fully over the cliff.

But, yes, I certainly have considered what horrendous impact this will have on those who have experienced sexual assault, rape, or molestation. It is horrendous to contemplate.

11. Scares the hell out of me

Transitioning MtF. The Nude-O-Scope scanner will pick up the breast forms, or the padded bra. Depending on how well things are tucked, it my show male genitalia. Plus, the Nude-O-Scope has the elevated possibility of skin cancer.

So, try the walk thru metal detector - which is guaranteed to get you a grope. So the nice woman grabs my breast forms or padded bra and says to her self WTF? And then she gropes my legs up to crotch and detects a little extra flesh that most women don't have.

I don't see any way of not getting outed, and in a very public location.

I honestly believe that the scanners are needed for safety but I do see the problem as well.

What I am wondering....... how is patting down and scanning every American citizen who decides to fly going to stop the terrorist who got on a plane in Yemen, or some other country that doesn't have scanners, from blowing up a plane once it reaches the US? Maybe I missed something in all the news reports. If someone could clue me in that would be great.

18. One possible solution to that problem

would be to build two special airports a mile or two of our coasts (one off of say NC and the other off of say Oregon). All international flights would go to those airports, passengers would be screened using the current proceedures, and then would fly to their US destinations. I definately think that this should be the proceedure for people coming from places with lax or no security.
