Straight Couples

I heard a radio show where a straight couple had refused to marry due to the inability of most gay couples of get married in most states. Do you think that this will turn into a trend of sorts, as I noticed that Sarah Silverman recently said the same thing? This to me in a positive step. It will make people think about the injustice all around us. Sure some people will never change their mind about the gay marriage issue, but I do believe that it's possible to reach out to some people.

In the UK a different situation has emerged. Some straight couples want to have civil ceremonies (the gay equiv of straight marriage) instead of marriages, which has a religious feel to them.

I saw Sarah Silverman say that on The View, and thought it was right on! She said getting married while others are not allowed to is akin to belonging to an exclusive golf organization that bans African-Americans. :applause:

I wish she had called out Sheri and Elisabeth for their homophobic views while she was at it.
