3. United Methodist Church of Hollywood, CA
Has a long history of inclusion as well. They hosted the AIDS quilt, in the sanctuary, years ago when such a thing was a huge statement. They also put a huge red ribbon on their steeple, which stands at a high traffic intersection, back when wearing the ribbon was an act of courage even for show biz folks. They were righteous when it was simply out of style to be righteous, they were present when so many others were absent.
