Did a quick search of Zondervan and nothing came up on DU that painted the obvious link in between Rick Warren and the Conservative Noise Machine...

Guess what, not only is Warren a glib face for homophobia, but his success was completely manufactured. He is not even really the spiritual leader that so many people have elevated him to, and I really don't know why Obama would extend his phony reputation.

It's hard for me to take any News Corp work seriously. The business plan seems to be to fill the airwaves with Fox Entertainment stuff (Inside Edition, Current Affair, COPS, Paris Hilton, Fat Greek Wedding blah blah) and then also provide a political outlet that is all about 'declining american
values' and conservative political b.s.

Semi-subversive entertainment on one hand, and then conservative outrage on the other.

It's a feedback loop that benefits them. Just my opinion though...

4. You're correct, but they publish

a huge list. They keep a lot of lefties like me in work.

But, the latest word is that Rupert's young wife is having a BIG impact on him, turning him towards the left. She's a very powerful, well-educated woman who just might make something worthwhile out of old Rupert.

Of course, whatever happens, we're stuck with all the crap you listed. I don't expect any of that to go away ever, alas.
