Penguin Books accepting submissions through October
Penguin Books, one of the top publishing houses, is accepting unsolicited submissions from August through October 2010...
However, for a limited three-month period from the beginning of August until the end of October 2010, we will be inviting submissions to be sent in electronically to the following address: [email protected].

We ask that email submissions comprise a brief covering note and synopsis and not a full manuscripts.

1. Are you free and ready to pursue
with Brickweavers while it's up at Authonomy?

Or is another 'big house' busy looking at it? Simultaneous submissions used to be something of a no no, but I don't know if that's still the case.

:hi:

2. Authonomy doesn't count as a submission
It's not really a submission there unless you win the "game" and get on the "Editors Desk". I'm just there for the feedback anyway, which is what everybody else says but they are lying, of course. ;-)
I haven't submitted to Penguin yet because I'm currently working on trimming down my synopsis. If anything, this will be the spur to get my synopsis in shape by October. I may even preview that at the Nathan Bransford forums before I'm finished. It's a little scary for me because the synopsis gives up the whole story but I've come a long way since the days when I didn't even want the title to get out.
