12,678.
That's how many people showed up to watch the first place, 29 games over .500 Tampa Rays Wednesday night. :wtf:

I understand people haven't wanted to waste their money on a perennial last place team that doesn't want to spend money on players.

But they're for real this year, and there's no excuse now.

1. That's just sad.
They got one of the most exciting teams going, and if you're a fan of good pitching you're really in for a treat.

I'm actually rooting for them more than the Sox this year. I love seeing stories like this.

2. Yea, I'm rooting for them also.
It would be quite a story line if it ended up being the Cubs vs. Tampa in the World Series.

Can you imagine if the Rays beat Chicago? Cubs fans would be lined up around the block to jump off of the Sears Tower.
