Marinovich arrested with Meth while skateboarding (MUGSHOT!)

http://www.tmz.com/2007/08/29/cops-former-football-star-tucked-drugs-and-ran/

Former USC great, NFL flop, and not-that-bad Arena Football star Todd Marinovich was arrested this weekend after cops say he was hiding almost a gram of methamphetamine, a syringe, and a spoon in his guitar case.

3. are you maybe thinking of Tony Mandarich?
That dude could eat! I remember sports illustrated listing what he ate each day, and there was stuff like two dozen eggs, a coupla steaks, just insane amounts of food. He was an Offensive Lineman drafted by the Packers in '89.

Marinovich was a QB who was drafted by the Raiders and was a total bust. He was getting into trouble in college, too, so the latest bust isn't much of a surprise, I guess.

(He might have had weird eating habits as well, but I don't ever remember reading about them in SI, which is why I thought you might be thinking of Mandarich. I wish I could find that whole article again, b/c that shopping list was :wow:) :hi:

his dad was an NFL lineman, I think, and raised him to be the "perfect QB." But by the time he fizzled in the pros, his nickname "Robo QB" had a thoroughly ironic meaning :)
