Which is a franchise record, including when they were still the Montreal Expos. Thats a pretty big accomplishment for a franchise that in years past has played defense like the Keystone Kops (I'm been to a couple of games where I just covered my face in embarrassment of their play).

Although they have a disappointing record right now, many of their losses have been close ones, where the bullpen blew leads.

They are starting to show a lot of potential though..young Jordan Zimmerman is having a fine year even if his record doesn't reflect it (he threw 6+ innings of no runs scored with 10 K's yesterday but got a no decision)
And although their offense has kinda stunk it up so far, I don't believe they will be this bad all year--its just that hitters seem to get hot at different times and then go cold (very streaky). Also, they've been missing their best offensive player in Ryan Zimmerman. He returns Tuesday I think.
If you hadn't had a chance to watch the Nats play, thats a shame. For all that they are in last place right now, they are playing some very good, entertaining baseball right now...probably some of the best baseball they've played since they arrived here in Washington in 2005.:)

1. When did the Nats get Mike Morse?
I remember when he was with the Mariners, and even though he got injured a few times and was really streaky, he had his moments. I had forgotten completely about him until Washington came to San Francisco. Weird the way a name from the past will just pop up like that..

2. Been here since 2009
The fans here have a love/hate relationship with him because he is VERY streaky still. But in the last month or so he's been playing really really well.

3. They got him in a trade with Seattle--the Nats gave up Ryan Langerhans

One of their best trades, Morse can play just about anywhere and is having a great year so far at the plate. He's been here about 3 yrs. now, part of it in the minors.
