Is It Football Season Yet?

God I hate the summer months when the Mets suck, basketball's over, hockey is in a coma and the start of football training camp isn't until the end of July.

Football season should be moved up so that it starts in August. Cut out two preseason games and just start the season on August 15th or something.

When my teams aren't doing well, baseball is BY FAR the most boring sport to put up with. Willie Randolph is a joke as a manager. Piazza sucks. Glavine sucks. Beltran sucks.

What a horrible summer this is shaping up to be. When do the Jets break camp? WHEN DOES FOOTBALL START!!!?!?!?!?!?

1. So far the Phillies don't suck

Remember when there was six preseason games? I think two is plenty. One home, one away and then get on with it.

Just kidding. You can see where my loyalties lie. It's tough when your guys aren't doing well -- I should know! It's tougher for me though, because I'm a Baseball-a-holic (is that a word?) through and through. I go into withdrawal from November through April, with nothing to watch. So count your blessings. :)

And be of good cheer, at least your owners are willing to spend $$ to get talent(unlike a lot of teams); hopefully they'll get some good young talent for next year.

But in a way I dread it. The Titans cleaned out a lotta lockers back in the spring to get the salary cap back to manageable. It's going to be a rough two years waiting for them to build a team back.....

5. Nooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!

Football season means one thing. The most dreaded months of the year are not far away. November-February is horrid. Boredom drives the senses into a coma. How could you bring that up at this wonderful time of year?

Look, the Mariners suck. The Brewers suck. The Cubs suck. And I don't care. Granted, I love October with all my heart, but it's always a mixed blessing.

Actualy, I know the Mets are in last place, but they are only seven games out and close to 500. It could be a lot worse. As you probably know.

I have a feeling that the Mets will put a hurtin on the Phillies and Yankees this week...I just know it.
